Register as a Sole Proprietor

When registering as a sole proprietor, you must provide:

• Your personal legal name
• Your company DBA (Doing Business As) - if applicable.
• Social Security Number (SSN) or Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN)
• A government-issued photo ID (such as a driver's license or passport)

The specific identification and verification steps include:

• Identity Verification:  A valid government-issued photo ID is required to verify your identity to comply with federal "Know Your Customer" (KYC) and banking regulations.
• Tax Information:  You will need to provide your SSN or ITIN for tax purposes, as well as an Employer Identification Number (EIN), if you have registered one for your business.
• Address Verification:  In some cases, we may need a proof of address (such as a utility bill or bank statement) matching the address you provided.
• Bank Account:  In a later step, you will need to link a business bank account that matches your exact personal legal name or business name, so that you can receive payouts.
